BlackBerry Curve 9370 Review

Blackberry Curve 9370 – Intended For The Entry Level Mobile Users

In the present mobile market though BlackBerry has failed to keep up with market standards, yet the company has come out with many devices with its BlackBerry OS 7 platform. The BlackBerry Curve9370 running on this operating system is one of the latest release form the company. The handset with an affordable price tag is designed specially for the entry level users. Users can avail this handset through the online mobile shopping portals over various mobile phone deals.

Mobile users who like to carry a lightweight and compact mobile handset will definitely love this BlackBerry model since it is one of the most compact and lightweight handsets produced by the company. Its dimension measures only 4.3 x 2.4 x 0.4 inches and has a weight of mere 3.5 ounces giving it a compact look compared to even the average sized- smartphones. BlackBerry Curve 9370 has been built with a sleek and elegant design that makes it perfectly fit in to your palm and also gets easily pocketed.

BlackBerry Curve 9370 carries a decently-sized TFT display unit that measures 2.44 inches and has a resolution of480 x 360 pixels. The display quality is of average standard and is paired with a QWERTY keyboard. Due to the compact design of the handset the keys in it are marginally smaller and are placed a tiny bit closer to each other and these make it slightly cramped. However, Curve 9370 seemed to make a visible difference. Since the keys are placed closer to each other, it is very difficult to type messages since we more often tends to hit more than one key at once. Thus, it requires slowing down and being more careful while typing.

This BlackBerry handset is integrated with a 5 mega pixel camera that lets you capture images within a resolution of 2592х1944 pixels. Featured with advanced features like LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization, the camera is expected to take standard quality images but it fails to do so. Photo shoot with this camera is extremely disappointing since images clicked look very rough. The video shoot with the camera is also not impressive as it can record videos with high definition. You will be able to shoot videos at only VGA 640 x 480 resolution.

The Curve 9370 running on the operating system BlackBerry 7.1, it is supported by the 800 MHz processor. In this handset the mobile company has swerved from the normal processor favorites like QUALCOMM and Snapdragon over the Tavor series. The onboard memory storage capacity of the phone is also unpredictably low being only 1GB. However, it includes 2GB microSD card that is further expandable up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.

Again, on the entertainment front, Curve 9370 has minimum things to offer, but you will find the usual set of media apps present in the handset. These applications include YouTube app, Slacker Radio, and BlackBerry music, video, photo, and podcast apps. It also offers you social networking sites in the form of YouTube and Twitter apps and messaging options including Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and Google Talk.
